OEM rubber turbo inlet boots do the job OK on a stock application, but are prone to problems once boost is turned up and performance increased. Due to the lack of reinforcement, it's common to see the stock hose collapse under vacuum created by the turbo's suction. The OEM rubber hose is also a common area to see cracks and leaks with age, which can throw off MAF readings. Since our hose is not corrugated, and maintains a larger inside diameter than the stock hose, it flows much smoother and flows more air than the OEM hose, and its a direct fit to boot.
